Up for your consideration is a LeCoultre Atmos clock, model 526-5 with s/n 142842 . This is known as the \"Baby\" Atmos as it is slightly smaller than the standard Atmos. Theclockbeen cleaned, calibrated and adjusted. Itruns welland keeps accurate time.Please understand minor accuracy adjustment via the built-in lever might be necessary at its new home. The leveler in clock seems to have a smallbubblestill but not as big as I\'ve seen in others.
The bellows has been checked and is functional. The glass panels, including the swing-out door, has no chips. There are no stress cracks on the case. The dial looks nice. The clock shows minor signs of wear mostly on base.I believe its condition is great for its age but everyone has a different idea of condition.Pleasestudy all the pictures and judge the condition for yourself.
This clock comes with 3 rare features not commonly found in 526-5 Atmos clocks:
1. Atmos clocks typically come with one locking mechanism for the balance wheel. This clock is one of a very few that comes with two locks, one above the balance wheel and a second onedirectly below the balance wheel -- on the underside of the case.The two-lock setupis only found on a small number of model 526-5\'s, as not all 526-5 clocks are manufactured with two locks.
2. On regular Atmos clocks you can access the internal mechanism for time setting, either by removing the cumbersome and heavy top cover or by means of a removable glass panel in the front. Frequently, the removable glass panel is chipped at the lower corners. This clock is equipped with a convenient swing-out door, thus eliminating both problems.
