WARNER\'S SAFE CURE
PRESSBURG

Pressburg Safe Cure bottle circa 1890\'s. This variation has no parentheses around the word SAFE. Here is what sets this Pressburg Warners apart from the others: This bottle has an exceptional \"teel-ish light-green,\" coloration that jumps out with back-lighting, not the typical common olive green so often seen. The glass is loaded with whittling and crudity. Overall, the embossing is very good and even the words \"Schutz Marke\" (means Patented) are clearly readable on the safe. The bottle stands approximately 9-1/2 inches tall. There are no cracks or repairs. For accuracy, there is normal wear and some general overall surface scratching. There appears to be a very small, shallow open bubble containing trash (?) in the glass... it is not a crack and appears that it may be from the manufacturing (see photo). There is also a very minor, light area of residual on the inside (hardly noticeable). Note, I have not attempted to clean or alter the bottle in any manner, and it is in \"as found\" condition. This was my choice due to the rarity of the bottle and risk of damage. I will leave the decision to attempt any cleaning with the purchaser. While some sellers would not even mention these points, I have done my best to describe the ACTUAL condition. The rarity and scarce coloration of this bottle clearly outweighs any flaws. I would rate this bottle overall a strong 8-9 on a scale of 10 for condition and a 10 for rarity. Undoubtedly worthy of top shelf.Pressburg was the city name under the Austro-Hungarian empire for what is now Bratislava, Slovakia. Pressburg is also known as Pozsony during later Hungarian rule. The Pressburg office of Hubert H. Warner\'s empire only produced bottles for a short time, from 1889-1892, before closing due to financial difficulties. Due to the short nature of production, very few Pressburg bottles are in circulation. This is a very nice example with fantastic embossing and would be an upgrade to most collections.
