Vintage John Deere Model 70 riding tractor model T2011, Serial # 039864M.
I believe it is a 1971.
This is a very small tractor and the smallest made by John Deere.
I bought this a couple years ago for my son to ride around on but he has lost interest in it and I have no place to store it.
It\'s in good shape overall and runs and drives good once it\'s started however- IT STARTS VERY HARD. It cranks over and over and finally starts. It seems to help if I wiggle the governor shaft while starting.
I put a new battery in it last fall but when I tried to start it a couple days ago it was dead and then I found I was an idiot and had installed the battery cables backwards. Problem is I had already put a trickle charger on it for day so it may have ruined the batterybut I\'m charging right now to see if it will come back.
IT WILL NEED WORK ON THE STARTING SYSTEM AND MAYBE THE ENGINE.
I will include a parts engine that was given to me with a starter motor that I never got around to swapping.
Also includes an old snowblower that I never used and a mower deck that is in rough shape with rust holes. I also have the mule drive and clutch but they are in unknown working condition.
