I've played 6-7 rounds using this range finder so far and have found it to be very easy to use and appears to be quite accurate. I was concerned that my hands wouldn't be steady enough to lock in on the pin, but since it locks in so quickly, "rock steady" hands aren't a necessity. The unit vibrates when the pin is locked, taking some of the guess work out of the picture as to whether or not your locked on the pin or a tree behind the green. The diopter on the eyepiece allows you to adjust the focus to get a clear picture and the magnification factor is great. It allows you to change the color of the reticle to bright red or black. I've found that the black is difficult to see under certain conditions, but the red is clearly visible at all times. I bought this unit specifically for its slope adjustment capability (not legal in tournament play). I love this capability, especially on courses that I haven't played before. By removing the red face plate and replacing it with the black one the unit is now legal for use in tournaments. Changing the face plates is simple as they just snap into place. With the number of rounds that I have played so far, my battery still shows to be full so it appears that you can play many, many rounds without changing the battery (which is an easy task). It runs on a CR-2 battery, which are widely available. All in all, I feel that this is a great accessory for my game and I highly recommend it.Read full review

1. Sometime it does not give reading at all. Have to press the bottom several times to get accurate yardage. 2. The eyepiece focus dial is too lose. Have to re-focus all the time. 3. The inner cover of the "red" color interchangeable front cover drop out after few days of use. Feel like very cheap device. Have serious question about the quality control. Overall, except problem mentioned above, this is a good equipment for serious golfer like me. But $500 price tag is a question.

First, I love it! Playing 3-4 rounds of golf a week, I had been using a GPS unit. I was quite pleased with it, but I was aware of the differences. Both GPS and Rangefinders have their pros/cons. The primary reason I held off on purchasing this Rangefinder was the initial investment (price!). But, it wasn't long after I got it that I realized just how useful it really is. Lightweight, but feels rugged. Great battery life. Good under any lighting conditions. Easy to "lock on" to the pin or whatever I am try to "shoot." Jolt technology works great. I am so glad to have the Slope feature. It really helps make my club selection easy and more accurate. The Diopter adjustment is a nice feature and easily accessible. Occasionally it gets bumped, but is so easy to reset. That is honestly the only very minor complaint that I can think of for this unit. I spent much time researching to find the best Laser Rangefinder for me. I can say with confidence, I made the right choice.Read full review

Slope adjusted distance is the small txt that blinks (alternates) with a calculated angle (who cares about the angle?). Dont get that reading until releasing power button and waiting for the alternating information to be the sloped dist. Meanwhile the nice large (easy to see) txt is the straight line distance. In slope mode, this should be reversed. Make the easy to read, always on distance at the top, the slope distance. Battery indicator doesn't do anything. Shows full charge until the unit dies. Like someone wrote before, bring an extra battery. If the Bushnell Tour X build quality and 2 light modes could have sex with the Nikon 40i features (love the 2 target priority distance modes, and 4 operating modes Nikon has) and size, we would have the perfect child.

Pinseeker with jolt feature on Bushnell rangefinders set them apart from other brands... just so easy to pick up the target quickly and with confidence that it is correct. I have used other range finders and I would always have to ask "Does this yardage make sense?" If not, I would have to shoot it again and again. With Bushnell, I can be confident that it is correct the first time!!!
