I love the low center of gravity and heavy head. It allows a good ball flight everytime you strike the ball. I am in the process of getting the shafts lengthened for me as I am above average height. Can't wait to get out and play all next year with these fantastic clubs. If you are looking for a club and haven't decided on a set yet, get to a golf shop and swing these. I gurantee you will fall in love with them.
I switched from the Nike NDX to the Slingshot 4D. The set I purchased was the stiff steel. I believe they are all rated as light weight shafts. Regardless, shaft weight is not an issue. The stiff flex steel shafts really only took a little compensation on the long irons. Shorter irons have excellent control. The weighting and wide bottom seem to help in reducing "fat" shots. My swing creates a high trajectory anyway, but there is no issue getting the ball into the air with these irons. I purchased the 4 through gap wedge and not the 3 through pitching wedge. I like the gap wedge in the set, and I am planning on purchasing a 58 degree sand/lob wedge and doing away with my other wedges. I typically never used a 3 iron anyway, and since I now carry hybrids instead of fairway metals, the set is perfect. I actually only carry the 5 through A wedge (50 degree) now. I do think the Sling Shots are an improvement over the NDX (for me), but the improvement is not in extra distance. For me the improvement is in accuracy with the short irons, and confidence with the way the base of the irons comes through at impact. Short of being custom fit for irons, the Sling Shots are a very solid set of irons. I actually have a fairly slow swing speed, but have no trouble with these irons at all.Read full review
I played strictly Titleist Irons while growing up... I switched after a demo day at Golfsmith in Austin, Texas to the Ping I3... I played that set until this year... A lot of the local pro shops had been talking about the new Nike Slingshot... All I remembered about the Slingshot was how huge the heads were and they were not easy to work... I have never been a big fan of Nike products reluctantly I tried the clubs because of the more traditional look... Lets say I got on ebay and found a set for a lot cheaper than I could have bought them at the pro shop. As most of you know there are several golf club fitters and dealers on eBay. Price competition is a good thing for the consumer!!! I have not been disappointed so far this year... I purchased my set with the Project X 6.0 shafts... It was a slight upgrade charge but anyone can tell you that the shaft is the most important thing when dealing with a golf club... With that said, I have gained 5 yards a club and dropped my handicap 5 strokes... I would have to say that this is one of the best game improvement iron sets I have hit in regards to feel, accuracy, and shot shaping... In regards to feel nothing can beat a forged club but the feedback from these irons are better than most... I was a little surprised by the Golf Digest club review but then again everyone's swing is a little different. Only advise I would give is go to a local Golfsmith or anywhere you can demo a set before buying any club... Golf Digest club test is not always the best information because I always walk out of Golfsmith with a different golf club than what I intended on buying... I would recommend everyone getting fitted if you have the time because it will make a world of difference on the golf course !!!Read full review

I had a set of these clubs while living in the city and one day they ended up missing. It was good to find another set. In one round of golf I took 7 stokes off my game. They give me straight shots and good control, best clubs ever, for someone who only plays a few times a month like me.
