I like the way I can hit this club compared to my regular iron.I had trouble hitting my low irons (3 thru 5) then I tried some of the hybrids at a local golf pro shop. After trying them I bought a 3 and 4 hybrid and played a few rounds with those and loved them. But I still needed a club distance between the 4 hybrid and my regular 6 iron so that is where this 5 Hybrid comes in at with a 26 degree loft with a regular flex to fit my swing. What a joy now that I can choose any club in my bag and have the confidence of putting a good hit on the ball.I had bought a brand new set of cobra irons earlier this year but i did not have the option of getting any hybrids. You could not pry these hybrids from me now .Just makes it so much easier to hit my low irons now.Great clubs.
While this may be "old" looking relative to current models I've yet to find a hybrid from any manufacturer that rivals the consistently great strikes this design affords. Terrific sound at impact forgiving out of rough or tight fairway lies. My go to club in almost every situation.

Extremely forgiving hybrid. If you're looking for an easy-to-hit club to replace a long iron, this club is for you. You don't have to fear that ~200-yard shot any longer. This club is very forgiving, feels solid, and launches incredibly well from almost any lie. In fact, lower-handicappers (let's say 5 or below) may find that it gets up too high. Personally, I prefer such a long shot come in high and soft - but I will say that in windy conditions it's hard to hit the ball lower with this club. That only impacts maybe 5% of your shots. It's still a 5/5 golf club because it restores your confidence on those long par-4s and medium par-5s.
These may be older, but just as good as the newer hybrid. Sets up nicely to my eye, and gives me confidence that I can hit it well. Easy to get ball airborne; almost no effort at all. I got the 4 and 5 hybrid, and distance wise I normally hit my 5 iron about 160, but with the 5 hybrid, I'm hitting it about 170. So, getting 10 yards more than with my irons. If can get it, may be worth the money.
I wanted to replace the steel, stiff shafts on 2 Cobra Baffler DWS 2008 Hybrids with regular graphite ones. Since the shaft size is not standard it became cheaper to just buy 2 used clubs. The 5 Hybrid was harder to find but I was able to get what I needed for half the price of replacing the shafts on my own clubs. The deal went very smoothly and the clubs arrived as avertised.
