This club is great for any golfer looking for some extra yards off the tee. I tend to have a fast swing so I decided to go with a shaft that is a bit more stiff than flex. I also liked the lower loft club head (8-9.5) because the ball shoots off the tee rather than getting caught up too high in the wind. I went with an 8.5 loft. The nice thing is the 460cc head tends to make up for any distance I might have lost with using a stiff shaft or the lower loft. I am a 14 handicap and love this club. If you have a quick swing and want to go longer,a bit more straight, and your looking to get a serious club that even tour pro's play; than this is one club to consider with confidence....enjoy!
i tell a lot of my friends who might not be the best golfers in the world that the game is not all about score but feel, trajectory, sound and enjoyment; all of which are reasons i purchased the launcher. it has a nice feel when you stripe a shot and even when you don't the off-center hits don't feel horrible. i can get a number of different trajectories out of my 9.5 launcher depending what i need but to send one soaring toward the clouds is as good as it gets. the thing i like most about this club however is the sound; it is like a metallic explosion that actually sometimes hurts my ears. i told a fellow recently that even if i don't hit it as long as a tour pro, my launcher makes it sound as if i do. the one drawback of the club i bought is the standard flex shaft which seems a bit whippy to me even though my swing speed is mid nineties. all in all a fun clubRead full review
Wow, thats about all I can say. I found it a little harder to use than the Taylormade R360, but it sure hits a mile. If you take a full swing and connect fairly well with the sweet spot, it really goes an absolute mile, like watching a cannon. Its quite impressive. Its designed really well, and is definately worth trying, it can hit some massive drives, and I found I could hit dead straight and/or with a slight fade. I found it hard to draw the ball, but I find it difficult to draw no matter what club, so thats no big deal. The sheer feel of the club is quite confident, making you feel like you're about to slam down an atom bomb on the fairway. Its one of the most enjoyable clubs to use, because if you time it well, you really feel it fly off the face with gusto. The shaft is very strong and I found Regular flex definately my preference, as the stiff in the Cleveland models I thought was quite stiff. Hitting a high ball isn't a problem either, or if you prefer hitting low flight trajectories I found also quite easy by altering your ball placement, and the club really works well for either tries. Most drivers don't seem to perform so well on both traits, but I was quite surprised by this one. I hope this review helps.Read full review
I've tried quite a few drivers, and, for me, this is the best of the best. Was fitted on a Launch Monitor, use a ProV1 ball, am 57 yrs. old, 5'9, 185 lbs, 93-95 mph clubhead speed..... the 9.5* loft and R flex shaft gave me the best consistent results and distance. I can hit fades or draws if wanted but have to work at it as the ball wants to fly high & straight. Decent swings get good results, good swings get excellent results. Get decent feedback, can usually tell from the feel what kind of contact I made and where on the face. The head sits up well to the ball, alignment isn't a problem. It's not flashy looking like some which is fine with me, however my biggest knock on it is that I think the gold color of the stock shaft is king of ugly (no big deal). The price is better than some, which makes the 460 Launcher an outstanding value in my opinion. This Driver is helping this older round-belly keep up with a lot of the young flat-bellies off the tee. I had a 2.4 handicap 6-7 years ago, probably closer to a 10 now because I don't get out as much and have lost some consistency, but the foregiveness of the Launcher helps make up for my practicing less. Enjoy!Read full review
When I was 20 I could anything long - now I'm 47 and thought I'd have to settle for short to be straight. Not with the ti460. I can swing easy and still go 270-280 down the middle. Mis-hits stay on or near fairway and still go 250. It's a great club for anybody, but especially for all of us who aren't a 2 handicap anymore. I borrowed it from my son and bought it used from him. I'm getting the fairway woods to go with it on e-bay. Tried them on a simulator and they hit just like the driver. The price tends to be a little on the high end, but the hollow body with low weighting and light head make them different than the other high priced drivers - they hit long and are still forgiving. If you can't keep it on the fairway with the big drivers without backing off to keep it straight, buy this club.Read full review
