If you just want to know how far you are to the green easily this is it! I have tried Golf GPS apps on my phone and they were just too hard to see in the bright light and some offered more things than I wanted (such as keeping score). This little golf buddy is super easy. The only thing you have to do (after charging it up) is choose the language. No downloading courses, it just connects to a satellite and knows which course you are on, and which hole. You can just look at it to see distance to pin (also distant to front and back of green) or you can push the button for it to tell you what hole you are on and the distance. I just hook it on my belt facing up so I can look down and see it instantly. I have played with people who have fancy golf GPS watches and they turned to me to ask how far they are instead of looking at their watch. Well worth every penny!Read full review

It much longer than expected to acquire the satellite and then the golf course. In my experience it took as long as 30 plus minutes before it was usable. Other brands of GPS are much faster locate the golf course. But was in a usable state there were no problems.

An amazing gps on the golf course. It tells you which hole is next as you approach the hole, not to mention distance to front, center or back depending on flag placement that day (you enter that before playing). So easy to use - I bought it for my husband who is technologically challenged and he even programmed it by himself so it must be a snap! Clips on your hat or collar or anywhere. He loves it!

I have the Golf Buddy 1 and it was great and easy to use. This one is even better and still easy to use and the instructions are a no brainer. Fits on the brim of your hat and even lets you know what hole you are playing as you get to the tee box automatically. Awesome.

I like this product very much and it is easy to use. It was useable right out of the box but had a few options that did not appeal to me, such as a diagram of the green ??? Have not as yet used it in conjunction with the web site. I especially like the simplicity of the voice announcement of the distance to the center of the green. I would recommend this product to everyone who is serious about improving their game.
