I purchased a new SkyCaddie Touch to replace one that "disappeared" at my local muni while I was getting a soda in the snack bar. I have always found the GPS to be much easier to use than a laser sight. I noticed that SkyCaddie has improved the functionality of the buttons by giving them an affirmative click and made the touchscreen programing more intuitive compared to the first Touch I bought several years ago. The USB charger is easy to use. My only disappointment was that it didn't come with a rubber skin and it should. Shortly after I bought it, SkyCaddie rolled out a software upgrade that addressed my biggest beef with the Touch: the lack of battery longevity. I can on occasion play 36 in one day. But until this most recent upgrade, the SkyCaddie battery didn't last that long. Now with power-saving software, I can get 36 out of it before needing a recharge. I've had various SkyCaddies since my first SG2 way back when. This Touch is a worthy successor. I highly recommend this product.Read full review

I have used the Skycaddie for at least 8 years. However, I didn't want to continue to have to pay for the membership so I tried the new Garmin, it keep giving me wrong yardage for the green. All 3 numbers were the game. So I sent it back and got my money back. Then bought a new Golf Buddy and it kept freezing up on me; some of the time it wouldn't even shut off, I would have to take the battery out and hope it would turn back on and sometimes it didn't. I didn't even have it two months when it started freezing up on me. I ended up returning it and got my money back. After trying both those GPS devices, I decided to get the SkyCaddie Touch that has 30,000 preloaded courses, but still had to pay membership. Having to pay the membership will be worth it; if I don't have any problems. So far it is working great.Read full review

I love this Sky Caddie for many reasons. The new TOUCH is very easy to use. The only concern I have is that the battery life is a little short. No problem for 18 holes but I frequently play 36 and the Sky Caddie battery gives out in about 17 holes. No longer a personal problem because I now have two and just switch Sky Caddie before starting 2nd round.

This was a replacement/backup Skycaddie. I already own one but it is pretty beat up. The original one is good as is this new one. Interesting, the ebay review asks me "Is the eyepiece comfortable". Hmmm, what eyepiece. This is GPS, not rangefinder.
