Bad to the Bone is really the only way to describe these. If you know how to hit a golf club and are looking for something that was made a few years ago that is just as good, if not better, than the high priced/overhyped clubs of today, these are the clubs for you. Hitting these for the first time, I saw that these were incredibly soft and very accurate and workable. If you're a player who swings well and has good mechanics, these will play well in your hands. I've never been able to work my ball as well as I've done so far with these. Again, "buttery-soft" is an excellent way to describe them. If you're someone who is just getting into the game or doesn't make consistent contact with the ball, I'd look elsewhere. These are true players irons that are meant to be in the hands of someone who can hit the shot they want. The project X flighted shafts make them that much more impressive. My ball flight has always been a bit "different", but these seem to be tailored to my game and I couldn't be happier. I've only hit these off the range so far, but I can already tell they're going to help me shave a few strokes off of my game compared to my old set of TaylorMade's. (Hopefully I'll be back down to scratch soon; at a +6 handicap now). Highly recommend these clubs.Read full review
I was still playing older Callaway X14 Pro Series irons because they look traditional but with some forgiveness. The newer cast irons haven't been as visually appealing and I would get jumpy fliers occassionally. I demo'd or bought Taylormade, Mizuno, Ping, Cleveland, Bridgestone, and other forged irons this past year. These newest Callaways are the nicest feeling, the longest (as long or longer than my cast X14s), look great, have the excellent rifle shafts standard which I like (they are a bit stiffer than dynamic gold so be careful what stiffness to purchase), and are definitely most consistent distance wise of any iron I've tried. I gave my local golf shop the opportunity to sell them to me at a competitive price, but they wouldn't budge on price. The price I paid for these on E-bay was awesome. Couldn't be more happy.Read full review

Best set of clubs I've ever owned. People kept telling me, oh these clubs are for scratch golfers and you need to stick with oversized shafts. Guess again! If you ever want to take your game to a new level then use the clubs the best play with. Pro's do not use tour forged irons because they are not the best. These clubs claw through the rough with ease and have a great feel to them for your shot making abilities. What a value!
Super forging. Playable by a mid-handcapper or a hi if you want to try a blade iron....Wonderful balance and easy to hit if you swing within your limits. For me I get a half club increase in distance. some offset but not moderate. Among the best clubs in semi-cavity BACK BLADE . LOOKS VERY HITABLE FROM SETUP.........CUT THROUGH LIGHT TO MODERATE ROUGH WITH NO PROBLEM.
