I bought my sgx used in great condition and really do enjoy most of it's features at least once or twice a week. π The ok part is that it does seem clunky, slowish. Overall I would recommend this to anyone wanting a Skycaddie on Budget. It is 4-5 years old and seems solid still.

Had an SG5 but wanted to pick up an SGX because it added the Dynamic HoleVue feature that allows you to place a target landing area on the hole display and obtain information on yardage from your location to the target and from the target to the center of the green. This feature is very helpful in club selection and especially when a lay up is involved. The screen is very easy to read and it also adds the ability to rotate the unit 90 degrees in one direction for quick access to your scorecard and 90 degrees the other way to get a close up view of the green with yardages. I use the silicone skin case and a screen protector to keep it looking good as new. The battery makes it through one entire round and still has around 50% battery left. Haven't tried to go a 2nd round on a single charge though. SkyCaddie Touch is the newer version with touch screen capability, but a friend of mine has one and I think I prefer the SGX over the Touch.Read full review

I have only used it twice, and so far it is working fine. it is easy to operate, it stores a lot of courses, you can measure how far you hit the ball, nice size and weight, and seems to be well built. I only have a basic membership plan ( 30 dollars per yr.) but I understand it will do more with a premium plan. I don't mind paying for the plan because I feel better connected in terms of any problems I might encounter plus you get a few perks along with the membership. the one thing that I noticed is it takes quite a while to charge, maybe 2 hrs. on a half full battery. despite any little drawbacks it might have, I still like it and must give it a 5 star rating.

This is my 3rd SkyCaddie, the sg2, sg5 and now the sgx. I really like the way it gives me everything I need to make the right shot decision when playing. Saves time looking for distance markers and gives accurate numbers around the courses I play. Recommend to anyone that wants to speed up play and get better doing it.

The instructions were bad. For example, the instructions show the joy stick can be used in all directions. The chat person said to pull it up like opening a coke bottle. Then it works just fine. After searching around I found how to do most everything. When I use it more it will be better. I've only had it a short while. The live chat is nice. They can show you how to do things. I'm glad I purchased it.
