Ben Hogan CFT's are perfectly forgiving but has enough technology (forged titanium) in the face insert to help me with "feel" to improve my game. If struck well, balls effortlessly jump off the club face. Also, the clubface has a great profile at address and is weighted nicely. So sorry that Callaway decided to discontinue the product line!!! I have the set of 5-9 irons and have a 4 hybrid which gets me about 200 of carry with about an 85mph swing speed. Wanted to add the 4 iron with lower loft (~2 degrees difference) for windy days, tight fairways or punch shots under tree cover. Glad I did and can't wait to get back on the course. in sum, these are great all around golf clubs on your journey to break 90.
I have used an Apex Edge Plus set for several years. During the past year I experimented with a 6 iron CFT design seeking increased forgivness for my aging game. Much to my delight, I found that the forged clubface (that is welded to steel chassis) retained much of the distinctive feel that Hogan forged clubs are noted for. FYI, I bought the 6 iron as a used demo club for $10. I haven't been able to find a demo CFT 5 iron, so that is wny I am on EBAY. Keep in mind that a lot of the sinlge 6 irons you see for sale may be demo clubs.
Hardly ever used from appearances . Awesome chrome.

Bought as backup for my CFT set. Beautiful club and ready just in case. Happiness is wanting what you have, not having what you want.
