Love this club, prior to getting it, I was always hitting way left of the fairway. The club is very forgiving, shaft flex is excellent for my swing speed. I got it because Callaway makes for a great golf game. If you don't have one better get one, adds distance and a shot straight down the center of the fairway or maybe a little bit down the left side in my case.
Last year I spent most of the season watching my overpriced 460 Driver sit in my bag because I was consistently hitting my old Hawkeye 3 wood straighter and where I needed to be off the tee. After 35 years of golfing I realized that all the technology and money in the world will not save a golfer from their inconsistent swing mechanics and lack of confidence in what they are hitting. This spring I decided to try locating a Hawkeye driver to compliment the rest of the woods in my bag. I found 2. A 9 and a 10 degree here on e-bay for under $50 each. One trip to the driving range and I put the 460 up for sale. This club may be 10 years old but it still has the Callaway quality built into it, and while it continues to work with my swing I will be hitting the fairways with it.
A great driver, purchased for our daughter for use on the high school golf team. Added a lot of distance to her drives. Nice light weight club for 17 yr old girl. Well worth the money!
The Great Big Bertha Hawkeye Driver is absolutely the best driver I have ever hit. It is very forgiving and it travels a long way! I changed all my fairway woods to Callaway Hawkeyes as well! I would definitely recommend this club to anyone! I could tell a difference in my drives from the first time I hit the ball! A+++
This is an outdated club, but it is a great one. I had previously owned one, and bought another one as a gift. It is not the newest technology, but for a beginner or a new golfer who wants to step up from old or cheap clubs, this is a great driver. The good thing about the age of the club is that you don't have to pay a lot of money for a tour caliber driver. The smart move is to get your handicap into single digits and then spend the big bucks on the latest geatest club. Until then, I recommend this driver whole-heartedly.
