Looks - 8/10, I do like the Matte Grey crown color, black face, black sole. Feel - Feels strong off the face, yet with a dull sound, very responsive face, club tells you when you've hit it well and when you've hit it slightly off center. Adjustability - No adjustability when it comes to loft. Only for face angle, open, closed neutral. More of a old school traditional design, which I like, maked the golfer do all the work. Performance - Very powerful club, distance is great when struck well. Still get decent yardages during off center hits. I(6 handicap) played a round yesterday, on Day 1 with this club I hit 9/13 fairways from the farthest back tee's. I am able to play a cut or draw easily with this club. Slightly less forgiving that my Cobra S3, club not for everyone, but definitely usable for 10 handicap players or lower. The one thing i need to correct is my shaft. I did notice a significantly higher ball flight(as expected) with the Xhot(9.5) vs Cobra S3(8.5). On Xhot I used the standard Project X 6.0 Stiff, my cobra has Fujikura Speeder 757 X-Stiff. I will swap shafts and see if that gives me back the lower ball flight i want. Overall - i like this club, smaller head 445cc than my Cobra 460cc, which allows me to cut or draw the ball easier. Distance is good, looks is good. If i can get the ball flight lowered with my Speeder X-stiff shaft, i will definitely put this in the bag.Read full review
The X-Hot Pro driver is a very high quality club. I love the project x velocity shaft in the 6.0 version. It is very stable, yet provides extra kick to the shots. With medium tee height I hit screaming low wind cheating drives. Tee it up high and I can hit high flight bombs. You will know when you mishit the club by the feedback, but the ball still gets out there pretty well. Even the high shots are penetrating with low spin. I am much more consistent with this club. I have a 6 handicap, am 58 years old, and generally swing the driver between 95 to 98 MPH. I am very happy with this club, an especially great value compared to new drivers!
I got projectX 6.0 stock shaft and I fell in love with this driver. My last driver was Callaway Razr Hawk, Although I was very satisfied with Razr Hawk, guys around me started to outdrive me by using Taylormade R11, R1 and such. I never liked Taylormade (just personal preference) and I wanted something that I could compete against it. On the first day, I didn't hit very well with this. It seemed as if I was never being able to hit a sweet spot. However, on the second day, I figured out and adjusted my swing little bit. I know getting a club fitted to my swing is better option, but here in Guatemala, such a luxury is not easily available. Anyway, most of my tee shot with this beauty went very straight. Even though some of drive shot went left or right slightly, it wasn't due to spin. It was my bad stance and ball still flew dead straight. However, if you hit the ball with inside of the face, the club punishes you really hard with unbelievable hook. Otherwise I found no problem. Distance wise, I would say I gained about 5~7 yards. Not so much of distance gain, but I feel more comfortable with full shot. In short, you will love it!!Read full review
X Hot Pro 9.5 with PXi 6.0 shaft, my driver speed around 100-105mph. I have used a lot of the recent drivers out there and this one has to be the easiest and straightest driver I haver ever used. The stock shaft is great for my speed and tempo. If I try to really go after it the ball just seems to balloon. Put a nice 80% swing and watch it go, medium trajectory and great distance. I also have the 3 deep 3W and 2 hybrids, I'll be using these for a long time, hope this helps
I bought a Callaway X-Hot 9.5Pro Driver with Aldila Trinity Stiff shaft. I could not be any more happier with this choice, it's really amazing. The driver is little lighter than most drivers, which increases your back swing and ball speed. When it hits the ball, it feels great and makes a great sound too. I feel like I'm hitting the ball farther and farther each time I use it! At the moment, I really can't think of anything that I don't like about it.
