1986 Gravely model 8163-G - 16hp Briggs And Stratton engine, 8 speed (4 speed w high/low) transmission, hydraulic implement lift, shaft-driven PTO, 50\" mower deck. Super clean! Starts, runs, drives and mows great. Just mowed about 1/2 acre of lawn today - excellent cut, made the lawn look like a big green carpet! Only two previous owners, this mower was garage kept and well cared for. It had been sitting for a while when I found it, so it needed some work. I gave it a complete fuel system flush with new fuel lines and filter, oil change, spark plug and air filter. Now, it startsright upand runs very strong. Transmission is excellent, with a great range of gears - 1st gear in low range, you can get off and walk around the tractor - total granny gear, lots of torque. 4th gear, high range - you\'ll never really need to go that fast, but it\'s nice if you have to drive it far to a location. Tires are in great shape, no leaks. Hydraulic system seems excellent, and a great option to have. Not only nice for mowing, great for snow plows and other implements. The deck had a few small holes, they were welded - the deck is now solid as a rock, mows excellent. Now - it\'s a 30 year old tractor, and it\'s certainly not perfect. It has it\'s share of dents, dings, and scratches. The seat is useable and comfortable, but has some cracks and splits. And like I said, a few small holes on the deck were welded. There\'s some peeling paint and some surface rust onthe deck, itcould use touched up with a spray can. So that\'s the bad. The good - it\'s really a beautiful tractor for it\'s age! The paint is a little faded, but it looks great. Needs nothing to go to work, ready to give you many years of great service. The best part - it\'s a Gravely, one of the best tractors you can buy!
