This is a 2 1/2 axis cnc stepper system utilizing a Bandit Summit control. The z axis is not a contouring axis
it steps down per g codes for deeper progressive cuts. It has canned milling cycles, but I was using
Bob CadCam V24 software.
Wells Index added a Accu-Rite 200m, 3 axis DRO.
They also added Hand wheels to all axis and a quill clamp so the mill can also be operated manually.
It has a 4 inch column riser so that you can utilize tension/compression tap holders and drill chucks with
out problems.
Mill specifications:
2 hp Baldor 230/460 VAC brake motor, approx 40 to3000 rpm,2 speed belt drive,Rigid Head
9 x 48 table, 30 inch x axis ,12 inch y axis travel.,12 inch knee travel,5 inch quill travel.
#30 taper with power draw bar.
Bijur auto lubsystem, and cool mist coolant system.
